Mango Habanero Hot Sauce

mango and habanero hot sauceI love making my own hot sauce and this Mango Habanero Hot Sauce is one of my favorites. It’s sweet, a little sour and punchy from the Habanero paste used in it, giving a distinctive Asian feel to this hot sauce. It’s versatile too, you can use it as a marinade for Pork, chicken or fish. It can also be used as a straight dipping sauce or as a sauce for tacos.

Our friend Jeff wanted a hot sauce for the Street Tacos he was making us all for dinner, it needed to be spicy. Unfortunately, I didn’t add enough Habanero paste this time, so it underperformed a bit. Never mind, next time I will use more chili paste or a stronger paste. However, it still tasted darn good in my opinion. I got my chili paste from a hot sauce kit that my kids got me for my birthday, check out www.mancrates.com for more details, but I’m pretty sure you can get elsewhere too.

How to make the Mango Habanero Hot Saucemango and habanero hot sauce

Well that is the easy part. All you do is add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until you have the consistency that you require. I prefer mine to be on the thicker side so I don’t blend for as long as you would to get a totally smooth sauce.
