Tip Tuesday: Making your own burgers

Today’s Tuesday Tip – Making your own burgers

Hey everyone and welcome to Tip Tuesday’s each week. Yep you guessed it on a Tuesday, GrubandBooze will be publishing one short tip related to food or of course booze – what else!

Making your own burgers

Whatever your favorite recipe is for your burgers, one thing that always stresses me out is when they start to break apart as you cook them, particularly if it’s on the grill on a hot sunny day.

I saw this really useful tip for making them so they don’t fall apart and not only that but they taste so yummy.

Take a large onion, red, yellow or white. It just depends on your preference. Slice the onion into wide rings about 3/4 to 1 inch in wide. Take the largest rings and press the meat into the onion ring, chill for at least 30 minutes and then cook as normal leaving the onion ring in place.

As a side tip, if you want the best flavor from your burgers, try not to handle the meat too much, the less you handle it the better it will taste.
