How to peel peaches
It’s summertime everyone and that means its time to enjoy some of the delicious seasonal fruit on offer. One of my favorites is peaches! Juicy, ripe peaches!
There are so many recipes out there incorporating peaches that it’s too difficult to choose one in particular. Although peaches fried in butter and then covered in cinnamon and brown sugar sound nice right now, topped with some good quality vanilla ice cream – yum.
Some recipes call for peaches to be peeled and this can be a challenge. However, there is a really simple way of taking care of this. So just how do you peel peaches? Boil a pan of water, while boiling, fill a bowl with some iced water (it needs to be cold). Once the pan of water is boiling plunge the peaches into for 20 seconds. After the 20 seconds plunge your peaches into the iced water and leave for a minute. Remove and peel the peaches just by gently pulling at the skin with your fingers, it should come off really easily.
