5 more ways to use Trader Joes Chile lime seasoning.

chile lime seasoningGiven that my first post was so popular on things to use Chile Lime Seasoning on I decided to do some research and come up with 5 more things that you can use Trader Joes Chile Lime seasoning on. I think I found my number  one to use it on.

Popcorn, Chips, Dips, Burgers and Nuts

  1. So this one is probably my favorite, try sprinkling it on freshly cooked Pop Corn. Yes, you read it right, Pop Corn! – trust me when I say it will be delicious
  2. Take some homemade freshly baked chips – let them cool down. Place them in a bag add the Trader Joes Chile Lime seasoning and shake well to ensure an even coating. Oh boy, these are simply delicious. Try making veggie chips instead of potato ones for a delicious alternative, use carrots, beetroot, parsnips etc. Thinly slice the veggies, add them to a bowl with a little olive oil, mix and layout on  a cookie sheet and bake until crispy.
  3. Add the Chile Lime seasoning to either sour cream or cream cheese with some additional lime juice for a delicious taco style dip.
  4. Turkey burgers can be very bland but you can spice them up a bit by using the Chile Lime Seasoning. If you make them your self try adding it to the actual meat mix before forming them into a patty.
  5. Finally, last but not least, add it to a bag of nuts such as peanuts, cashes etc. to spice up what can be very bland nuts. Sprinkle into the bag, shake and eat!

The list of things you can do with this is really endless, its one of those spice mixes which is just so versatile. For an added bonus, try it on the rim of a Margarita – oh boy this one is so good. Coat the rim in some sugar syrup then pour some of the seasoning onto a plate and twist the rim into the spices, make sure you get a nice even coating all the way around!
