Is this the best Gin and Cucumber cocktail ever?

Now, for those that follow my blog and know me, you know that I like alcohol. One of those spirits that I don’t normally like is Gin. Let’s just say I had a bad experience when I was a lot younger with Gin and became quite ill the following day, talking to god on the big white telephone, aka head down the toilet. It wasn’t pretty and my wife didn’t really appreciate the vomit in her new car we picked up that day! My wife, on the other hand, loves Gin and its one of here favorite tipples.

I’ve learned a lot since then!

So I wanted to find a cool (as a cucumber) summer cocktail that you could enjoy (in moderation of course) and this hits the spot and is super refreshing! You can also check out my other cocktail recipes here

How do you make a Gin and Cucumber Cocktail?

It’s actually really simple and you probably have the ingredients at home already.

All you need is a few slices of cucumber, some sprigs of Rosemary, Hendrick’s Gin and some lemonade (American Lemonade), not the fizzy lemonade we typically get in England. Obviously, the better quality lemonade you use the better, but we used CapriSun as that’s all we had!

Start with a large glass or pitcher (if making for many) and half fill with ice, add a good measure of Hendrick’s Gin. I highly recommend Hendrick’s as it has an overtone of cucumber already and works really well, but other gins will work too. Slice some cucumber and add two or three slices per glass or more if making a pitcher. Top off with lemonade and add a sprig of Rosemary, give it a gentle stir and drink up. For me, someone who doesn’t like Gin, this is delicious.
